Drug overdose victim remains on life support

On Oct. 13, the Coeur dAlene Police received a report that an 18 year-old female victim is on life support at Kootenai Medical Center after ingesting six liquid drops of acid.

The victim attended at a small party at 710 River Ave. at 10 p.m. on Oct. 12, and was given the acid by an 18-year-old college student, Cameron J. Jester. Jester allegedly put the acid into a small glass of orange juice, and the female victim, from Cottage Grove, OR, took the acid willingly.

Jester also put acid in his own drink and the victim drank some of that as well. The victim began vomiting a short time later and slipped in and out of consciousness. She was transported to KMC by some friends and her condition worsened throughout the evening.

The Kootenai County Drug Task Force interviewed other people who had attended the party and determined that Jester had given the acid to the victim.

Jester who has a permanent address in Nebraska was arrested while he was waiting to see the victim at KMC. He is being held on a felony count of delivery of a controlled substance and an additional felony count of possession of a controlled substance.
